The person behind Named First

Precision in the work. Purpose behind it.

I’m Tim, the founder of iPromptCode.

My background includes 23 years of experience applying thermal-barrier and EB-PVD coatings to aerospace parts in Greer, South Carolina. In the afternoons after work and also on weekends, I design and build AI tools with a practical purpose: helping people manage both the clerical responsibilities and the hands-on side of their work.

Named First brings that same attention to detail to one goal: helping local contractors get found in AI search.

Why this exists

My whole working life has been around tradespeople. Somewhere in 2025 the way homeowners find a contractor changed: instead of scrolling Google, they ask ChatGPT or Google's AI "who should I call?" and get three names.

5W Public Relations' April 2026 index estimates that 87% of independent HVAC and plumbing contractors have little or no AI citation visibility in their local market. That's a third-party estimate, not our own test result. Named First starts by checking your business directly.

That's not a talent problem. It's a "the machine can't find enough proof you exist" problem. And it's fixable with a checklist, not a marketing department.

How I work

  • Small on purpose. I take a limited number of Sprint clients a month so every report is done by hand with real screenshots.
  • Plain words. No jargon in the report, no jargon in the invoice. If I can't explain a step to a 6-year-old, I don't do it.
  • Clean work only. No fake reviews, bought upvotes, bot comments or undisclosed posts. Our review-request process is designed around the FTC's review rules and the policies of the platforms we use.
  • You own it all. Manager access, never passwords. Every account, listing and page stays yours after the service ends.
  • The numbers decide. Before score, after score, dated screenshots. If it isn't moving, I tell you why and what's next.

The bigger idea

AI was never built with the blue-collar worker in mind. I'm trying to change that, one tool at a time.

Named First is one of several things I build under iPromptCode for tradespeople and small operators: prompt kits, quoting tools, and now this. Same rule for all of them — they have to work for someone who's on a job site at 7 a.m. and doesn't have time for a dashboard.
